‘Berwick’ Book Launch
Celebrated crime writer L J Ross returns to Carlisle to launch Berwick, the 24th instalment in the DCI Ryan series, the bestselling crime series set in Northumberland. Louise will be discussing her background, writing and Berwick before answering questions from the audience.
We also have an event exclusive…LJ Ross has printed a further 400 copies of the DCI Ryan short story ‘The Mystery of the Vanishing Mayor’, of which only 3000 were ever published. A copy of the story will be included with every book and ticket option bought!

LJ Ross is a multi-million bestselling international author. Her debut novel and the first book in the DCI Ryan series, Holy Island was an instant bestseller and, since then, her success has multiplied as people have fell in love with her DCI Ryan books. Louise was born in Northumberland. She studied undergraduate and postgraduate Law at King’s College, University of London and then abroad in Paris and Florence. She spent much of her working life in London, where she was a lawyer for a number of years until taking the decision to change career. Now, she writes full time and lives with her husband and two children in her beloved Northumberland, which is integral to her writing.
